Naga- A water spirit, half human and half serpent, supposed to bring safety and prosperity. Live in the Maze.
Unicorn- A creature resembling a horse and having a single horn in the center of its forehead: all unicorns are either pure black or snow white, capable of being tamed by a virgin, and usually successful in evading capture.
Phoenix- A mythical bird of great beauty, the only one of its kind, fabled to live 500 or 600 years in the Arabian wilderness, to burn itself on a funeral pile, and to rise from its ashes in the freshness of youth and live through another cycle of years: often an emblem of immortality. Rarely notices other creatures.
Sphinx- A creature having the head of a man/woman or an animal and the body of a lion. Like the phoenix, they rarely notice other creatures.
Sea Serpent- An enormous snakelike or dragonlike marine animal, called the dragons of the lake, harmless and rare creatures who live in the Lake of Solace.
Centaur- A creature having the head and upper torso of a human, as well as the body of a horse. "Good" centaurs are suberb craftsbeasts and intelluctuals.
Deer- A harmless prey animal.
Moose- A harmless prey animal.
